A tragic traffic accident has just occurred, this Saturday, September 26 in the early evening, at the entrance to Volstroff. The driver of a BMW, registered in France, lost control of his vehicle on the departmental road 2 bis.

On board the powerful sedan, five people, all of Eastern European nationality and staying at the Mirabelle campsite in Volstroff. The exceptionally violent exit from the road was fatal to one of them.

Died on site
He is a thirty-something, rear passenger, unconscious on arrival of the emergency services and extricated by the firefighters. Despite the efforts of rescuers, the man, of Romanian origin, died on the spot even before his transfer to hospital services.
Three other passengers, presenting various injuries, were transported to the regional hospital in Thionville. A fifth individual evaporated before the arrival of the gendarmes.
