The story could have ended in a dramatic way. A mother was arrested this Sunday morning in Villers-lès-Nancy (Meurthe-et-Moselle) after having almost killed her ten-year-old son and tried to drug her husband, reports L’Est Républicain.
At around 4 a.m., the 40-year-old woman, suffering from depression, stabbed her ten-year-old son several times. It is the father, awakened by the cries of the little boy, who intervened. The child would present at least two superficial wounds on the neck and thorax.
He was taken care of by firefighters, but his vital prognosis was not engaged.
At around 3 a.m., the woman allegedly tried to drug her husband by inserting a pipette into his mouth, the prosecutor said.
Placed in custody, the mother was finally hospitalized under duress in a psychiatric unit.
