A strange miraculous catch … Eleven loaves of cocaine, weighing a total of more than 12 kg, have been discovered since Saturday on the beaches of Pas-de-Calais.
These eleven loaves of 12.532 kg in all were found on beaches between Ambleteuse and Cap Gris-Nez, said the deputy public prosecutor of Boulogne-sur-Mer, Patrick Leleu.
Came from a boat?
“The most likely hypothesis is that they would come from a boat, rather from the open sea than from the land,” he continued, while the gendarmes continued this Thursday to “look for other bread”.
According to France Bleu, the value of the goods discovered is estimated at 750,000 euros.
In November 2019, very many bales of cocaine had been found on the Atlantic coast, for an estimated total of 1,600 kg and coming from Colombia, according to the Rennes prosecutor’s office. In May 2021, nearly 70 kg of cocaine were found on a beach in Saint-Germain-sur-Ay (Manche), on the west coast of Cotentin.
