Mirtha Legrand returns to Argentine television with her classic program La Noche de Mirtha, which has given her so much success and satisfaction throughout her career. At 96 years old, Chiquita knows that she has given everything to this job. According to her, she affirms every time she refers to her professional work: “I have given them my life.” And it is true. Since she premiered Los Tuesdays Orchids at the age of 14, Mirtha has not stopped working a single day in her life. “It’s my passion,” she says proudly at each start of her traditional program that the public adores.
Chiquita prepares for weeks to start with everything. She leaves no detail to chance, and she is very demanding when it comes to her personal grooming. As Teleshow learned, this season she will be assisted by her closest team of collaborators. Leo Cosenza will be her hairdresser and personal stylist and Gladys Andrade will be in charge of makeup. For this occasion, the diva already did costume fittings with her two favorite designers: Iara and Claudio Cosano. Thus, the biggest diva on television will have four dresses to choose from for the important evening.
The program will be recorded at the Cuyo Studios, in the town of Martínez, and will air on the El Trece screen. This is the same place where Bailando 2023 is broadcast, Marcelo Tinelli’s dance competition, which has been out in America for two weeks. As Teleshow learned, Mirtha will record every Friday since it is the day in which Tinelli does not occupy the facilities of the Estudio Mayor. As it is, Chiqui already has her dressing room ready on the first floor, which she can access by means of an elevator for her greater comfort and then she will have to walk only 15 meters to command the most famous table on Argentine television. It should be noted that the dressing room has a private bathroom and the ideal dimensions so that the diva can take care of her personal grooming with the greatest comfort.
The first program will have two special guests: the comedian Fátima Florez and the candidate for President of the Nation Javier Milei. The artist and the leader of La Libertad Avanza met last year precisely on Mirtha night. After a few months, Fátima separated from her husband Norberto Marcos and some time later began a relationship with Milei. So, Mirtha wanted to have them both together at the beginning of this season, at the height of the electoral contest and just a few weeks before the Presidential Elections.
The meeting between the two took place on December 2, 2022. In this regard, the diva recalled what the moment was like and denied realizing the romance that was being born: “No, believe me, I didn’t realize it at any time. Now I saw the moment they met at the table but it was all cordial, as always. “I didn’t realize the future romance, when I found out I couldn’t believe it, but I’m happy for everything, for the good of both of us.”
It was not an easy task for the production to organize the invitation due to the couple’s busy schedule. In principle, the first program was scheduled to be recorded on Friday, September 22, to be broadcast on Saturday, the 23rd, but for reasons beyond the diva’s control it had to be postponed for a week. The problem then arose because the following Friday, September 29, Fátima already had the dates of her show Fátima Internacional scheduled in the province of Santa Fe. So the recording of La Noche de Mirtha had to be postponed to Friday, September 6. October. However, according to information that Teleshow had from sources close to the production of the program, Milei would not be available that day and then they would be evaluating the possibility of changing the recording date or going live on Saturday, October 7. What is certain is that no one wants to postpone the start of the most anticipated program on the small screen any longer.
As for the setting and scenography, it bears the stamp of Leo Gaetani who, as it was learned, is giving it a mark inspired by the famous original decoration of the program. The production team is made up of Ariel Ferretino and Marita Tedeschi, under the executive production of Nacho Viale, grandson of Mirtha and Diego Palacios.
There is very little left until the diva of lunches – now of dinners – will once again be present on the television screen. Although Mirtha is constantly on the move and maintains a very active social agenda that includes her presence in theatrical shows in the city of Buenos Aires, her return to television is special. This event is awaited by the public and especially by the protagonist herself, who very anxiously awaits returning to the ring, since her profession is, perhaps, one of her places in her world. “This career is the most beautiful thing that life has given me,” Mirtha confessed at the celebration of her last birthday, applauded by her loved ones with the affection and love that the diva deserves from her.
