Miro Žbirka († 69): The funeral will also be watched online! We know where!

The last farewell to the musician Miroslav Žbirka will be in the Strašnice crematorium on Friday 19 November from 2 pm. Due to the regulations in force, only invited persons will be allowed to say goodbye. Nevertheless, everyone will be able to see the funeral!

The public will be able to say goodbye to Meky in the area in front of the ceremonial hall, where there will be a book of condolences. The broadcast from the ceremony will be provided via screens and live broadcast on Mira Žbirka’s official Facebook profile.

The legendary Slovak singer, composer and guitarist Miroslav Žbirka is known as the author of melodic songs such as Biely kvet, Atlantída, Nemoderný chalan, Katrin or Co bolí. During his more than forty years on the music scene, he became famous as a solo performer of songs, which he also composed himself.

He has released over thirty records in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Germany, has given concerts almost all over the world and has also played with the Slovak singer Marika Gombitová in the musical Don’t Take Our Princess. He also had a lifelong friendship with Gombit, he was her support after her severe injury, which confined her to a wheelchair for life, and Žbirka’s most popular songs include a duet with her called In Dead Ends. Years later, they followed him with the song Let’s Not Burn It Beautifully In Us.
