The Dallas Mavericks get a new owner:
Miriam Adelson, 78.
The world’s fifth richest woman pays SEK 35 billion for the NBA team.
It has already been known that billionaire Mark Cuban will sell his majority stake in the Dallas Mavericks, which he owned for over two decades.
Now the deal is almost done.
The NBA announces in one statement that their board approved the sale and that the transaction of 3.5 billion dollars – equivalent to 35 billion kroner – is expected to be completed before the end of this week.

Good for 325 billion
The new owner Miriam Adelson is stated as follows Forbes be good for around 325 billion kroner, which makes her the world’s fifth richest woman and the world’s 45th richest person.
She inherited her fortune from her husband Sheldon Adelson, who built one of the world’s largest hotel and casino empires, Las Vegas Sands Corp, stretching from Las Vegas to Macau and Singapore.
He died last year.
Cuban remains in the organization
Miriam Adelson will own 73 percent of the Dallas Mavericks.
Mark Cuban retains the remaining 27 percent and will continue to be ultimately responsible for day-to-day operations.
The Mavericks are fifth in the NBA’s Western Conference after 30 games played.
They have won 18 and lost 12.
