Shocking Subway Attack in Manhattan: Man Pushed onto Tracks on New Year’s Eve
A horrifying incident unfolded at Manhattan’s 18th Street subway station on New Year’s Eve, leaving a man critically injured after being violently pushed onto the tracks by a stranger. The attack, captured on surveillance video, has sent shockwaves through the city and sparked outrage.
The incident occurred around 1:30 PM on December 31st. According to witnesses and police reports, the victim, engrossed in his cell phone, was unexpectedly shoved onto the tracks by a man wearing a dark coat. A train subsequently entered the station, striking the victim.
“The subway suddenly stopped,” recounted a horrified passenger. “After about ten minutes, the subway personnel announced over the intercom that we had to evacuate as someone was under the train… When we got out, there were police and paramedics. When they pulled him out, I saw him covered in blood, blinking, and slowly moving his fingers.”
