The family of a Thai woman was surprised after she woke up on her way to a Buddhist temple in preparation for her funeral.
While the ambulance was transporting 49-year-old Chataporn Srivonla to the hospital, doctors noticed that she had stopped breathing, which prompted them to announce her death on June 29.
Immediately, Srivunla’s mother, Mali, called her relatives to inform them of the sad news, and to work on arranging the funeral ceremony.
As the funeral procession marched towards Wat Sri Phadung Pattana, where Srivonla’s body was supposed to stay there for a full night according to Buddhist traditions, the woman woke up and opened her eyes, according to the British Daily Mail.
Srivunla was taken directly to Ban Duong Hospital, where she is receiving medical care with her daughter.
