The Health Directorate in Minya continues its preparations for the implementation of the presidential initiative to care for the health of the mother and the fetus, as a number of training courses have been implemented for the nursing teams on the works of the presidential initiative and the provision of health services within the medical protocol of the initiative, which comes within the group of presidential initiatives 100 million health.
For his part, Dr. Muhammad Al-Nadi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Minya, explained that the initiative aims to examine pregnant women from a number of diseases, and to perform physical measurements of weight and height and measure blood sugar levels, to prevent the transmission of diseases from mother to fetus.
Dr. Ahmed Khalil, Director of the Primary Care Department and Coordinator of Presidential Initiatives in Minya Governorate, stated that the Health Directorate has prepared 260 health units, a medical center and a health office, in all health departments at the governorate level, with the aim of implementing the initiative’s work.
