JAKARTA – After carrying out training camp (TC) in Croatia at the end of October 2020, National Team players (Timnas) Indonesia U-19 has now been rescheduled to take part in the training program that has been prepared by PSSI. This time, the players practiced virtually as preparation before actually practicing on the field.
The coach of the U-19 Indonesia National Team, Shin Tae-yong, has determined the names of 33 players who will take part in the virtual home training exercise. Later the 33 selected players will take part in the training program from 5-15 November 2020.
Interestingly, there were no names Elkan Baggot and Witan Sulaiman in the 33 names who participated in the virtual home training. According to a report from PSSI, Elkan and Witan were not summoned because they were busy defending their respective clubs.

Elkan is in England to defend Ipswich Town and Witan is defending FK Radnik Surdulica in Serbia. Because they were busy with the two teams and the time difference was quite far, Elkan and Witan were decided not to be called by Tae-yong to carry out the virtual training session.
“We started practicing virtually on Thursday (5 Novemvber 2020). This virtual practice is a preparation before we undergo training on the field later. We also summoned some new players in this virtual practice, “said Tae-yong, quoted from the official PSSI website, Wednesday (4/11/2020).
As Tae-yong said, the U-19 Indonesian National Team also called up several new names to participate in the virtual training session. The new names are Titan Agung Bagus (Arema FC), Kakang Rudianto (Persib), Alfrianto Nico (Persija), Genta Alparedo (Semen Padang).
There are also names of players who are familiar and will return to the U-19 Indonesian National Team such as Rendy Juliansyah, Muhammad Fajar Fathur Rahman (Borneo FC), Risky Muhammad (Persija).
Tae-yong created a virtual training program because he wanted the U-19 Indonesian national team players to focus again after being given a vacation for approximately one week after returning from Croatia.
Virtual home training was made to be used as a preparation step for the 2020 U-19 Asian Cup which is planned to be held in early 2021. In addition, Garuda Muda will also compete in other prestigious events, namely the 2021 U-20 World Cup, which incidentally Indonesia is the host.
