Minsots told what will happen to the pensions of forced unemployed because of lockdowns

Ukrainians will be counted in the insurance experience periods of receiving assistance for partial unemployment and other benefits during lockdown… We are talking about those cases when a person during these periods was forced to remain without work. In this regard, the pensions of such citizens will not be affected.

About it reported Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Marina Lazebnaya during the presentation of the UN Policy Brief on Social Protection: Pensions in Focus. According to the official, forced unemployment during lockdowns can affect the future pensions of Ukrainians.

“So that people in the future do not feel the impact of quarantines, lockdowns, low incomes, we have decided that the periods of receiving assistance – both for partial unemployment and others – will be included in the insurance experience. insurance experience “, – said Lazebnaya.

She also noted that the government has given people the right to choose exclude periods of low income from the calculation of pensions so that it does not reduce the size of the pension in the future… “All these steps were taken as an urgent aid,” the minister summed up.

Recall that on March 30, the Verkhovna Rada adopted as a basis and in general law, aimed at financial support of entrepreneurs and employees who were forced to stop working in the regions of the “red” quarantine zone due to the worsening situation with the incidence of COVID-19. It was by this law that changes were made to another law “Compulsory state pension insurance“, which provides for all the innovations voiced by Marina Lazebna regarding the features of the accrual of seniority for Ukrainians during lockdowns.

As reported OBOZREVATEL, from April 19, entrepreneurs and employees will be able to apply for state aid in the amount of UAH 8,000 if a region is in the “red” quarantine zone. but some private entrepreneurs were deprived of the right by the Cabinet of Ministers for the “quarantine” payment.
