Minsal reports 1,336 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, the lowest number in the last 3 months

According to the daily report that the Ministry of Health published today on his website, in the last 24 hours a total of 1,336 cases of coronavirus, of which 846 correspond to cases with symptoms, 443 to asymptomatic cases and 47 to unreported cases.

This number of new cases is the lowest that has been registered since May 9 – that is, 101 days – when 1,247 cases were announced.

In this sense, the Metropolitan Region reached the lowest number of new cases of Covid-19 after three months and 21 days.

With this, the total accumulated cases with coronavirus since the pandemic began in the country amounts to 388,855. Of that number, 15,869 are active cases – that is, people who can infect others – and 362,440 have recovered.

On the other hand, and according to the data provided by the Department of Statistics and Health Information (Deis), 33 deaths were registered, the lowest figure since August 12, when 27 deaths were reported. Prior to that, such a low figure has not been reported since June 16, when Deis records show 21 deaths.

With this, the total number of deaths in the country from the coronavirus is 10,546.

As for the labs, the report indicates that 23,199 people were tested in the last 24 hours, thus reaching a total of 2,068,079 examinations carried out since the beginning of the pandemic. In this sense, the positivity of the day of these exams reached 5.76%, while the total positivity is 18.8%.

With regard to hospitalized people, the report indicates that there are currently 1,157 people in intensive care units, of which 867 are on mechanical ventilation and 184 are in critical condition.

Along the same lines, the report indicates that there is a 549 fans available out of a total of 2,689 of these teams.

Regarding health residences, there are 157 throughout the country, of which 10,364 beds are enabled and 5,233 are in use.
