This Tuesday a new balance of covid-19 was delivered in Chile, the second without the presence of authorities in La Moneda, instance where it was announced that five regions have presented more than 100 daily infections.
These regions correspond to Atacama (127 cases), Coquimbo (119 cases), Valparaíso (111 cases), Metropolitana (339 cases) and Bío Bío (115 cases).
According to the report, there are 1,336 new cases of covid-19 in Chile, of which 846 correspond to symptomatic people and 443 to individuals who do not present symptoms. In addition, 47 positive PCR tests were recorded that were not reported.
The total number of people who have been diagnosed with covid in the country reaches 388,885. Of this total, 15,869 patients are in the active stage of the virus. Meanwhile, the recovered cases correspond to 362,440.
Regarding deaths, the background information provided by the Department of Health Statistics and Information (DEIS) details that in the last 24 hours 33 deaths have been registered for causes associated with covid-19. Thus registering a total of 10,546 deaths in the country.
To date, 1,157 people are hospitalized in Intensive Care Units (ICU), of which 867 are on mechanical ventilation support and 184 are in critical health.
In relation to the Integrated Health Network, there is a total of 549 ventilators available for the patient who requires it.
Regarding the Laboratory Network and diagnostic capacity, this Monday the results of 23,199 PCR tests were reported, reaching a total of 2,068,079 tests analyzed nationwide to date.
Meanwhile, the The number of Health Residences available is 157 with 10,364 places. As of today, they have 5,233 users considering all regions of the country.
