A total of 27,034 people died nationwide as a result of new coronavirus, as reported tonight by Ministry of Health (Minsa).
According to the registry of the COVID-19 Situation Room, this figure represents an increase of 200 deaths for August 19.
Regarding the amount of positive cases of the disease, the Health sector indicated that the figure rises to 567 059 nationwide.
The daily balance also shows that the number of people who overcame the disease is 380,730.
Regarding the number of people hospitalized for the new coronavirus, the Minsa said that to date there are 13,779 patients who continue their fight against the disease.
The portfolio added that the number of tests sampled at the moment at the national level is 2,852,011, in molecular and rapid tests.
