Minors intoxicated in Holmenkollen:

On Saturday morning, the Oslo police reported a good atmosphere and clear conditions during the first day of the Holmenkollen ski festival. When the clock strikes 13.00, however, the mood is different.

Operations Manager Tore Solberg tells TV 2 that it is now busy for both them, guards and the Red Cross on site.

– There are a lot of underage drunk people up there now. People who are probably not very interested in skiing in the first place, says Solberg.

– It has developed into a real drunken party up there.

He does not have figures on how many people are there, but says it is about young people down to the age of 16.

– The whole atmosphere up there has become much more aggressive now than in the beginning, says Solberg.

Among other things, a 16-year-old boy has been rude to guards on the spot, and one person is said to have bitten another.

However, the operations manager believes that it will calm down on the spot when the sun goes down, and the bags of brought-in drinks are emptied. Many of the people on site should not be dressed for colder weather when the sun goes down.
