The Italian authorities have denounced a young man who made himself rich by offering fake vaccination certificates, a business with which he earned thousands of euros in a short time and all kinds of luxury products.
The 17-year-old teenager, who lived with his parents, was the Italian point of reference for a group of hackers specialized in falsifying certificates of the coronavirusexplained the Italian Police.
Thanks to this network, which guaranteed him more than 20,000 euros (approximately $ 80,000,000 Colombian pesos) in a few months, he had sought a high pace of life, buying expensive beauty products, cryptocurrencies, brand clothing and high-tech devices , all of which was requisitioned by the authorities.
The parents of the detainee assured that they were unaware of their son’s activity and that they believed that his wealth came from his services as computer scientist for online gambling companies, police said in a statement.

His arrest and knowledge of his “modus operandi” was possible thanks to the complaint of a young woman from Genoa (northern Italy) who came to him to obtain a coronavirus health certificate, essential in this country for social life.
The woman, a model by profession, wanted a false certificate to be able to go to the gym and because she had a “certain aversion” to the vaccine.
In this way, he sent the young man his documents and 150 euros until he realized that everything was a trap, as the “forger” began to extort money from him and ask him for more money under the threat of reporting her to the authorities.
Finally the woman decided to report, revealing a network of counterfeiters that accumulate private data of users who used to open bank accounts, credit cards and profiles on the main electronic commerce platforms, among other crimes.
