In Minnesota, a man with a disturbing criminal record had a tense moment with the FBI that seemed straight out of some crime fiction. The federal agents went to the home of the subject identified as Chue Feng Yang33, to arrest him for theft of a vehicle, although they carried additional warrants, according to a Bureau affidavit.
The man, also known as Kevin, barricaded himself in his house for several hoursthe same ones in which he made live broadcasts via Facebook, in which you could listen to the negotiations he had with the agents, who tried to convince him to turn himself in, but he rebutted with threats.
Negotiations continued, at one point Yang said that he had placed explosives around his house, for which he made a shocking comment: “I hope they brought enough body bags”in reference to the explosion that, according to him, was about to happen.
It is worth mentioning that the man was accompanied by his girlfriend, who entered the scene when he felt cornered and made a drastic decision, but not before saying “I love you”. He tied her around her waist and walked out the door with a shotgun pointed at her head, The Daily Beast reported.
It was at that moment that the agents shot him dead and his girlfriend survived, although some media report that the woman had to be hospitalized because she suffered an overdose of fentanyl.
Yang’s criminal history included convictions for terrorist threatsrobbery, illegal possession of firearms, and auto theft.
According to The Daily Beast, the subject had also carried out acts of animal cruelty, on one occasion, together with his girlfriend, they threw a puppy from a truck that was driving at high speed. He also shot a dog with a BB gun in a stolen vehicle before abandoning it.
