Ministry warns against list of fake corona measures

The Ministry of Justice and Security warns about a list of fake corona measures circulating on social media. The ‘new decisions’ around the corona measures that are on the list are incorrect, according to the Ministry.

The list states, among other things, that in addition to the store closure, contact professions must also temporarily stop and that there will be a national sales ban on alcohol from 6 p.m. In addition, a group should only consist of a maximum of two people, both outside and at home. Furthermore, there will be a curfew from 8 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.

* Tomorrow an evaluation report on masks will be submitted to the OMT for advice.
* Today MinJenV and the Presidents of the Safety Regions are still discussing the details of the above measures. Something may change in detail.
* The measures will be announced in a press conference tomorrow Monday, December 14. The measures will take effect on Tuesday 15 December at 6 p.m.

According to a spokesperson, these types of fake messages are “quite sophisticated”. “It is a mix of measures that previously circulated in the media, but also rules that have been invented.” According to the spokesperson, this often concerns the somewhat heavier measures. “Justice is alert to these messages, which are often distributed very quickly via Whatsapp.”
