Ministry Reverses Decision to Dismiss Primary School Directors in Kasserine amid Union Pressure

The member of the regional section of the general federation of basic education in Kasserine Rabii Salhi said this Wednesday, August 30, 29023 that the Ministry of Education reversed the decision to dismiss the directors of primary schools in Kasserine. The trade unionist who spoke at the microphone of Mosaïque Fm clarified that this decision comes against the background of the series of requests from the federation of basic education.

He added that the Ministry of Education had fired a number of primary school principals randomly. ” Any primary school principal who did not answer telephone calls is systematically fired he asserted. He said that the principals concerned appealed and the Ministry of Education ended up reconsidering its decision which concerned about twenty principals of primary schools. According to him, this decision was hasty and not studied. Moreover, one of the directors was fired when he was ill and admitted to hospital.
