The Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade announced an increase in the pumping rates of basic commodities at the Ahlan Ramadan 2024 exhibitions to meet the needs of citizens, with discounts ranging from 25 to 30% compared to their counterparts in the markets.

Dr. Ali Al-Moselhy, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, said that there is coordination between the Ministry, the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce and the governors to establish commodity exhibitions on a regular basis and make goods available to citizens at reasonable prices, pointing out that the Holding Company for Food Industries, affiliated with the Ministry, will participate in the Welcome Ramadan exhibitions through 30 of its subsidiaries. In addition to 146 shaders as well.

On the other hand, the Ministry pumps about 140 tons of basic commodities daily into the Welcome Ramadan exhibitions in Luxor Governorate, which number 7 main and subsidiary exhibitions in the governorate, at a rate of 20 tons for each exhibition in addition to the cadres. Double quantities of goods are being pumped with discounts ranging from 25 to 30%, in addition to holding 3 main Welcome Ramadan exhibitions in Luxor, Esna, and Armant, and 4 other subsidiary exhibitions in city centers, as well as launching 9 commodity cars through 3 convoys, and there are 5 cars. Mobile goods, including a load of 5 tons and one vehicle with a load of 1.5 tons, to dispense food supplies.

21 tons of sugar are also pumped into Luxor showrooms at a price of 27 pounds per kilo per day, 15 tons of mixed oil, 1 liter, at a price of 100 pounds, 800 ml at a price of 70 pounds, and 5 tons of rice, at a price ranging from 20 to 37 pounds per kilo, depending on the grade and quality. Pointing out that the first day witnessed the pumping of 40 tons in all exhibitions and shops, and that the Welcome Ramadan season coincides with the tourist season in Luxor Governorate, which witnesses an increase in demand rates for goods by up to 80%, divided into a 50% increase in consumption for citizens and 30% for expatriates. The strategic stock of sugar in Luxor Governorate is safe and sufficient for 6 months.

A kilo of flour is also offered in Luxor Governorate at a price ranging from 25 to 28 pounds, pasta weighing 350 grams at 6 and 9.5 pounds, 400 grams at 13 pounds, Brazilian and local poultry at a price of 100 pounds per kilo, Sudanese meat at a price of 250 pounds per kilo, and Egyptian rice at a price. 35 pounds, Indian rice costs 30 pounds, a 300-gram sauce costs 10 pounds, and a quarter-kilo package of tea costs between 57 and 60 pounds.
