VIVA – Member of the Hijriyah Calendar Unification Team of the Ministry of Religion, Cecep Nurwendaya said there was a reporting reference if the initial hilal Ramadhan 1442 Hijriyah was observed in the territory of Indonesia on Monday, 12 April 2021. According to him, ijtimak occurred on Monday at around 09.31 WIB.
When the sun sets, said Cecep, all over Indonesia there has been an ijtima or conjunction.
“Hilal at the beginning of Ramadan is quite old, it is more than eight hours old. In Indonesia, the hilal is in a significant position to be seen,” said Cecep on Monday, April 12, 2021.
