The Ministry of Public Health ordered an immunization operation with all the vaccines on the national calendar and for the entire population. It works from today until August 4, at the intersection of Muñecas and Mendoza streets.
Consulted in this regard, the medical executive secretary of SIPROSA, doctor Miguel Ferre Contreras, he recounted: “Our Ministry is very committed to prevention campaigns, fundamentally to immunizations. The Minister of Public Health, Dr. Luis Medina Ruiz, ordered that this vaccination tent be installed as of today and we will be there until August 4. Then, depending on the demand, we will see if we renew the municipal permits to continue here. We are placing all the vaccines in the national calendar for all ages, from birth to adults over 65 years of age.
The official stressed that all people who have a risk factor should be vaccinated. In this way, he called, especially those over 65 years of age, since they are exposed to three pathologies: flu (there is an increase in cases in South America and Argentina, although Tucumán has a low plateau but right now is the time to get vaccinated ), pneumococcus and against COVID-19.
“We are with the Vaccination Brigade, a highly trained team. So any questions that the population has, come closer, find out and take advantage to get immunized in the vaccination tent. Hours of operation are from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. We have just started and we are moving well”, said Ferre Contreras.
He also warned that with the flu there is a slight upward trend in the province, so this is the time to deploy all preventive activities. Not only vaccination, but also the use of a chinstrap is highly recommended for older adults if they have to leave home.
And regarding bronchiolitis, the disease that affects children in winter, he clarified that the maximum peak had already passed eight weeks ago: “In the worst week we had 500 reported cases, and yet this did not stress the Health System, since we started preparing from December. And all the hospitals gave the appropriate response.”
For his part, Hate gosne, the nurse in charge of the health stand in Mendoza and Muñecas, commented: “Today we started permanently with this stand, although before we did it on an itinerant basis. We then have all the vaccines available, with emphasis on flu immunization. We invite everyone to come to the sanitary tent. Anyone can do it, we are in front of Tienda San Juan. People took advantage of the fact that he was walking and got vaccinated. In addition, for those who cannot come here, we are also working on the Family Vaccination”.
