The Ministry of Public Education (SEP) published this Friday the Agreement number 08/09/23 that establishes and regulates the Common Curricular Framework of Higher Secondary Education (MCCEMS) in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF)which will be applicable in this type of education for all its services, modalities and educational options provided for in the 2023-2024 school year.
He MCCEMS It will favor the transit, permanence, academic continuity and, where appropriate, the timely graduation of 5 million 379 thousand 859 students for the 2023-2024 school year.
It will be mandatory for the Undersecretariat of Higher Secondary Education (SEMS), as well as for its General Directorates of: Industrial Technological Education and Services (DGETI); Agricultural Technological Education and Marine Sciences (DGETAyCM); Technological Baccalaureate of Sports Education and Promotion (DGBTED); and Baccalaureate (DGB), as well as for those individuals who have Official Validity Recognition from the SEP.
The new document has three curricula:
• Fundamental: Socio-cognitive resources and areas of knowledge organized into two training components —basic and extended— that contribute and favor the comprehensive training of people.
• Labor: Basic and extended job skills at three levels of job training: basic, technical and technological.
• enlarged: Socio-emotional resources and areas of socio-emotional training to help underpin and strengthen the comprehensive training of people. Its curricular value will be recognized with credits.
The new MCCEMS ponders cognitive, procedural and attitudinal learning, which are part of the comprehensive training of each of its resumes. It promotes critical thinking that will allow students to make decisions, act and acquire responsibilities for their performance in various fields, whether educational or personal, social and professional life situations.
It will ensure the homologation of the contents of the common core for high school studies or equivalent and the diversification of contents that are not part of the common core in upper secondary study plans and programs, reflecting a shared graduation profile and the realities and contexts regional and local of our country.
Through the learning progressions and labor competencies contained in the MCCEMS, the students will have a community, critical, transversal, and socio-emotional perspective of the various phenomena, situations, and problems.
The students will have a formative evaluation as a comprehensive, permanent, opportune, systemic process of communication and reflection on the learning achieved, and it will allow them to make better decisions about the selection of activities or learning tasks and job skills of Higher Secondary Education (EMS).
Within the framework of the implementation of the MCCEMS, the SEP, through the Undersecretariat of Higher Secondary Education, will promote the adoption of the Curricular Framework with the educational authorities of the federal entities, federal and local decentralized organizations, and autonomous institutions that provide education. upper middle.
