In response to the earthquake which hit the Al Haouz region, the Ministry of National Education has decided to suspend classes in the affected municipalities and douars from Monday September 11.
Thus, 42 rural municipalities seriously affected by the earthquake, distributed between the provinces of Al Haouz, Chichaoua and Taroudant are concerned. e.
The department of Chakib Benmoussa announces the implementation of local educational and logistical measures “to ensure the educational continuity of the students concerned over the coming days, the details of which will be announced later by the academies, regional administrations and educational establishments concerned,” said a press release. Details will be communicated to the regional academies during the week, specifies the same source.
Elsewhere, schools located in other regions of the country resumed normally on Monday September 11, with a reading of the Fatiha in memory of the victims of the earthquake.
