The selection of the ‘worst killer company’, which has been announced every year since 2006 by labor circles and civil society groups, has collapsed.
The joint campaign group for countermeasures against deaths from industrial accidents held a press conference in front of the Presidential Office in Yongsan-gu, Seoul this morning, and the Ministry of Labor refused to submit data related to deaths from industrial accidents for reasons such as personal information infringement and corporate defamation, and was selected as the ‘worst murder company’ last year. He said he couldn’t.
The joint campaign group criticized the Ministry of Labor’s attitude as going against the social trend of holding companies and managers accountable in the event of an industrial accident death.
The joint campaign group explained that the Ministry of Labor submitted data that covered the company name and other basic information, which in fact refused to submit data.
