The security services of the Ministry of Interior arrested the accused of assaulting a girl by insulting him and making indecent gestures at the gathering.
After monitoring a video clip being circulated on one of the pages on the social networking site “Instagram”, it included a person assaulting a girl by insulting him and making indecent gestures in the First Settlement Police Department in Cairo.
Upon examination, it was found that one of the girls had filed a report against the driver of a car for insulting her and trying to seize her bag. It was also found that two other girls had filed a report against the same person for committing the same acts.
The security services were able to identify and arrest the perpetrator of the incident, an unemployed resident of the First Settlement Police Department who was in possession of the car he was driving
When confronted, he confessed to committing the aforementioned incidents because he suffered from psychological disorders.
Legal measures were taken and the Public Prosecution took over the investigation.
