Ministry of Health Urges Tlaxcala Residents to Reinforce Covid-19 Prevention Measures

The Ministry of Health (Sesa) urged the population to reinforce prevention measures against Covid-19, given the first case of death of 2024 reported in the neighboring entity of Puebla; despite the fact that Tlaxcala does not report an alarming increase in cases.

The state head of vaccination at Sesa, Lucero González Vivanco, emphasized the importance of using face masks in closed places to prevent Covid-19 infections, although the symptoms are less aggressive.

He also called on citizens who do not have their updated vaccination schedule to go to the Urban Health Centers where they have the availability of vaccines against Covid-19 from the pharmaceutical company Abdala.

In addition, clean and disinfect surfaces and objects in common use in homes, work centers, offices, closed places, including public transportation units; ventilate closed spaces, and use disinfectants such as antibacterial gel.

He recalled that in the medical units and hospitals of Sesa, the Mexican Institute of Social Security and the Institute of Security and Social Services of State Workers, people must enter with face masks.

Lucero González insisted that the constant mutation of Covid-19 and in the event of any respiratory infection during the winter season, the mask must be used responsibly, keeping a healthy distance because that helps reduce the chances of contagion.

VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS

From the age of five, citizens who are willing to do so can apply the Covid-19 vaccine. To do so, they must meet the following requirements: official identification and, where appropriate, proof of the last dose received.
