Ministry of Health Updates Mandatory Child Immunization Regulations, 3 New Vaccines Add 11 Previous Lists

JOMBANG UPDATEMinistry of Health officially added 3 new types of vaccines to complete the list of mandatory immunizations for children from 0 to 12 years old.

The three new types of vaccines for compulsory immunization of children include the PCV (Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine) vaccine, Rotavirus vaccine, and the HPV vaccine (Human Papilloma Virus).

Previously, Ministry of Health has just set 11 types of vaccines in the compulsory immunization program for children. Now with the 3 types of vaccines, the number of mandatory vaccines for children is 14 types.

According to the Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, immunization is the most appropriate and inexpensive way to prevent maternal and child mortality.

“Vaccination is one of the cheaper health interventions,” said Minister of Health Budi was quoted as saying JOMBANG UPDATE from the page Ministry of Health.
