Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, said that expansion is underway to strengthen the health care system and solve the population issue that the ministry places as a top priority, pointing to constant coordination with all local and international bodies to develop and implement solutions to the population issue.
He pointed out that the programs that the state is working on to solve the population issue do not primarily look at the number of births only, but aim to achieve prosperity and development in society through improving demographic characteristics, and providing a safe life for newborns of all ages in various aspects (health, social, psychologically).
He pointed out that during the past few years, the Ministry has been keen to develop the health care infrastructure and develop various health facilities, in a way that guarantees the achievement of quality and expansion of the services provided to citizens and what they include in terms of reproductive health services.
