Books – Ahmed Gomaa:
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, said that Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, yesterday reviewed the medical insurance plan for Eid al-Fitr celebrations, during his meeting with the ministry’s leaders and heads of various bodies, with the participation of all the ministry’s undersecretaries in the governorates, and crisis room officials at the republic level.

Abdel Ghaffar explained in press statements that the minister had many directives during the meeting, most notably intensifying periodic visits and field follow-up during the official holiday days to monitor the progress of work, administrative discipline, shifts, and the availability of medicines, serums, and supplies.

The health spokesman stressed the minister’s emphasis on reviewing the stock of vaccines and serums in all governorates, most notably the food poisoning serums known as the “ptosis” serum, as well as the serums for scorpion and snake bites, and dog bites.

The plan includes coordination with poison centers in the governorates and the Central Emergency Services Room 137, which operates 24 hours a day to provide medical advice services, initial handling of poisoning injuries, and referral to the nearest hospital with beds and a poison center.
