Ministry of Health Reports One Central Java Resident Is Suspected of Monkey Smallpox

Spokesman for the Ministry of Health, Mohammad Syahril, revealed that in the latest report there was one resident of Central Java who had symptoms of monkeypox. The patient is still a suspect and is being treated at a hospital in Central Java.

Syahril said that the suspected monkeypox patient in Central Java would undergo a PCR laboratory examination. This is done to determine whether the patient’s illness is caused by the monkeypox virus or not.
