Ministry of Health records 2 new cases of local transmission in Surabaya, here are the symptoms

The Indonesian Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) recorded two new cases of local transmission or transmission detected in Surabaya. With this addition, the total cases of the Omicron variant in Indonesia will be 138 cases.

According to the Director of Prevention and Control of Directly Infectious Diseases (P2PML) of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Siti Nadia Tarmizi, the two had just returned from vacation from Bali with their extended family.

“The latest are two residents of Surabaya, it was known that they had vacationed in Bali with their extended family,” said Dr. Nadia in an official statement, Sunday (2/1/2022).

In the statement, Dr. Nadia said the two patients had been evacuated and were being isolated in the hospital. Regarding their condition, both patients are in good condition and are asymptomatic or asymptomatic.

“The condition of the two patients has been handled well. Both have been evacuated and isolated in the hospital, their condition is asymptomatic,” explained Dr. Nadia.

Seeing this case of local transmission, Dr. Nadia again reminded the public to remain vigilant. Because the current pandemic situation and conditions can change quickly.

“With the discovery of another case of local transmission, the government again reminds and asks the public to reduce mobility. Avoid crowds and also always wear masks. Let’s invite our brothers and sisters who have not been vaccinated to get vaccinated immediately,” he concluded.
