Ministry of Health Raises Concerns over Medications Requiring Medical Supervision

Ministry of Health

The Ministry of Health alerted to two types of medication that are taken under medical supervision.

The Ministry said, through the (X) platform, that the drug Furazole (diloxanide metronidazole) and the antibiotic (levofloxacin) should not be used without the supervision of the treating physician.

The Ministry of Health added that the treating physician in this case is the one who determines the extent of need and the safety of use for the health condition.

It is noteworthy that diagnosing medical conditions is the basic criterion for determining whether or not a medicine is safe to use, and the suitability of a medicine for a specific condition does not mean that it is suitable for use for a similar condition or disease.
