The Ministry of Health (Minsa) through the Expanded Immunization Program (PAI) reports the arrival of 56,240 doses of bivalent vaccines to Panamawhich will reinforce the National Vaccination Program, which continues to be developed by the National Government, explained Itzel de Hewitt, national head of the PAI.

This new batch of vaccines, which arrived in Panamanian territory this Wednesday the 14th, will be distributed as follows: 30,240 doses for people over 12 years of age; 18,000 for children from 5 to 11 years old and 6 thousand for children from 6 months to 4 years.

“You should not let your guard down, not only with the vaccine against Covid-19, but against the vaccine against influenza, which this year we have registered deaths,” Hewitt said.

Health authorities reiterate to the population that there are vaccines available and that they can attend health centers and police centers throughout the country, Monday through Friday, starting at 7:00 in the morning.
