Ministry of Health and Population Responds Swiftly to Fatal Traffic Accident on Cairo-Alexandria Road

The Ministry of Health and Population confirmed that the traffic accident that occurred this morning between a passenger bus and a number of cars was dealt with quickly, and some of them caught fire on the Cairo-Alexandria Road. The accident site was reached in less than 8 minutes and the injured were treated.

The Ministry of Health and Population continued that the state of preparedness had been raised in Beheira Governorate hospitals to deal with those injured in the traffic accident, especially in the vicinity of the Wadi El-Natroun area, before the international road, towards Cairo.

Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, confirmed that Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, is following up in real time on the ambulatory and therapeutic services provided to the injured through the Ministry’s central crisis room, the subsidiary rooms of the Ambulance Authority, and the Central Administration for Critical and Urgent Care.

Abdel Ghaffar explained that the accident resulted in the death of 32 passengers and the injury of 63 others, 53 of whom were transferred to the One-Day Surgery Hospital in Wadi al-Natroun, while 7 others were transferred to the West Nubariya Central Hospital, and first aid was provided to three injured people at the accident site, with continued follow-up. .
