JAKARTA.NIAGA.ASIA – Facing the possibility of bird flu caused by the H5N1 virus which is endemic in the country, the Ministry of Health has alerted 195 referral hospitals (RS).
This was conveyed by the Director of Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases of the Ministry of Health, Imran Pambudi, in Jakarta.
“We have prepared 195 referral hospitals. We have also prepared treatments at the hospital, although we pray it won’t be used because of bird flu,” explained the Ministry of Health’s Director for Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases, Monday (6/3/23).
According to him, the Ministry of Health immediately alerted hundreds of referral hospitals for Emerging Infectious Diseases (PIE), after hearing of findings of cases with the Highly Pathogenic Avian Virus (HPAI) clade H5N1. 2.3.4.4b and 2.3.2.1c at several points in South Kalimantan.
The Ministry of Health has also prepared all kinds of treatments and tools at the hospital to carry out management related to cases of bird flu in humans.
