Through the efforts of the Consulate General of El Salvador in Houston, Texas, the Clothing God’s Children Organization, headed by its founders Silvio and Zelia Johnson Castillo, donated 94 pairs of shoes to children who are patients at the Benjamín Bloom National Hospital.
This Houston-based organization works to benefit Salvadoran children. It has also made donations to other countries in the region, such as Honduras and Belize.
During the recent delivery ceremony, the opportunity was taken to donate clothing to the children’s parents by the Dallas-based Cultural Events and Festival Organization, chaired and founded by Salvadoran Evelyn Molina.
The hospital’s deputy director, Dr. Werner Romero, participated in the delivery of this donation and expressed his gratitude to both organizations for allocating this aid specifically for the Salvadoran children of the Bloom Hospital and their families.
“This donation represents an important help for families who use the health services of our hospital,” said the hospital official. He also thanked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for identifying opportunities for support.
Officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also participated in the activity.
