Ministry of Foreign Affairs Launches Initiative to Switch to Electronic Visas and QR Codes

Al-Marsad Newspaper: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs launched a new initiative to cancel the visa sticker on the beneficiary’s passport and switch to the electronic visa and read its data via a quick response (QR) code.

This comes within the framework of completing procedures for automating and raising the quality of consular services provided by the Ministry by developing a mechanism for granting visas (work, residence, and visit).

This procedure was activated as a first stage in a number of the Kingdom’s missions in the following countries: (UAE, Jordan, Egypt, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, and the Philippines).
