Spain nursing home 9 deaths and 4 deaths
No association with vaccination has been confirmed.
According to British media Thesun, 78 patients were vaccinated at the El Salvador nursing home in Toledo in central Spain on the 13th of last month. About 10 elderly people reported symptoms such as headache and diarrhea 6 days after vaccination. 33 nursing home staff also gave the first dose, of which 12 were tested positive for Corona 19, according to Spanish EFE news agency.
Sergio Meya, secretary-general of the nonprofit’Apostles of Peace’, a non-profit organization that operates a nursing home, told a local radio broadcaster, “I don’t think the infection was caused by the vaccine. “It is estimated that some of the employees who have already been infected have been vaccinated.” The nursing home plans to proceed with the second vaccination on the 3rd as scheduled.
Israel, which is known to have been vaccinated against the COVID-19 vaccine by 57% of the population, said on the 2nd that the incidence of side effects from Pfizer vaccine was less than 0.3%. On that day, the Israeli Ministry of Health announced that cases of side effects were confirmed in 6575 out of 2.78,200 people who completed the first vaccination and 3592 out of 137,7828 who received the second vaccination. Most were mild symptoms such as headache and chills. The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (Ministry of Food and Drug Safety) approved an application for special import (emergency use) of Pfizer vaccine from the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This is the first domestic use of the Corona 19 vaccine. The vaccine that has been approved for special import is 117,000 doses (for 58,500 vaccinations) that will come in mid-February through COVAX Facility (International Vaccine Sharing Project). As a result, the COVAX-Pfizer vaccine can be vaccinated as soon as it is introduced in Korea. On that day, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety also revealed the results of a meeting of 11 experts from joint government experts on approval of special imports. The expert advisory group said that it is reasonable to expand the target of Pfizer vaccine in Korea to those aged 16 or older.
Previously, the government announced that the targets of the Corona 19 vaccination were adults over the age of 18, and it was possible to expand it to high school students.
