The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) opened its voice regarding PT Pertamina (Persero)’s plan to launch a new bioethanol product, namely Pertamax mixed with 5% ethanol. According to the ministry, the trials went well.
“Now the test has been carried out but it is good, it will be continued later,” said Director General of Oil and Gas (Migas) of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Tutuka Ariadji at the DPR Complex, Jakarta, Wednesday (14/6/2023).
When asked about the price, Tutuka said that his party would evaluate it. He said that currently the scale of success is still being calculated.
“Later we will evaluate it, right now we are still calculating the scale of success,” said Tutuka.
Tutuka said the fuel was still in trials, not yet at the commercial stage.
“It’s still an experiment, we haven’t reached the commercial stage yet, it’s still on a road-worthy scale for a trial run,” he said.
“This year, maybe the proven concept first,” continued Tutuka.
