The department reminds that it is allowed to make fires in the adjacent territories, but important safety measures must be observed. It is safe to burn fires only in calm weather, while the process of burning and smoldering must be continuously monitored. The place where the fire will be lit should be cleaned in advance of combustible substances and materials, as well as dry vegetation. You should have a container with water, sand or a fire extinguisher with you in order to immediately put out the fire if necessary. When burning a fire, sparks and flames should not fall on combustible elements of buildings, outbuildings and structures. When leaving, the fire should be extinguished until the complete cessation of smoldering.
It is unacceptable to burn dry vegetation and stubble. In no case should a fire be built on peat soil or under the crowns of trees. Flammable and combustible liquids must not be used to kindle a fire, except for those intended for ignition.
