A large-scale audit operation will be sponsored by the Ministry of Education
The diplomas awarded to primary and secondary teachers will also be audited, announces the Ministry of Education.
The Minister of Education, Mohamed Ali Boughdiri, announced yesterday that a verification of diplomas will be implemented as part of a global process of auditing competitions and recruitment procedures, starting in January 2011.
In an interview with TAP, Boughdiri clarified that the audit will not only concern ministry staff. The diplomas awarded to teachers in basic and secondary education will also be audited, the minister said. The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research will, for its part, launch a system for verifying university diplomas, Boughdiri added.
The audit operation concerns recruitments since 2011
The aim of the audit is to intercept falsified diplomas. The Ministry of Education will work in coordination with other ministries.
The President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, announced, during his meeting with the Head of Government, Ahmed Hacheni, that the next ministerial council will focus on an audit relating to competitions and recruitment procedures since January 2011.
