Abu Dhabi, 18 October / WAM / The Ministry of Education announced a strategic partnership with the Abdullah Al Ghurair Foundation, with the aim of enhancing climate action and environmental sustainability as part of its efforts to achieve the goals of the Green Education Partnership Roadmap in preparation for the country hosting the COP28 climate conference.
This strategic partnership confirms the joint commitment to achieving progress in the field of sustainability and developing a growing sense of green responsibility among various segments of society.
To this end, the two sides will work to advance sustainability and climate action by providing long-term learning opportunities for climate awareness across the country.
Her Excellency Dr. Amna Al Dahak Al Shamsi, Assistant Undersecretary for the Care and Capacity Building Sector at the Ministry of Education, said: “The Ministry is keen to continue making all necessary efforts to provide students with the knowledge and resources necessary to make sound and informed decisions that have a positive impact on the environment.”
She added: “We are pleased with this partnership with the Abdullah Al Ghurair Foundation, which will in turn organize awareness workshops on climate and provide an entrepreneurship program as part of the National Green Education Plan.
