Monterrey, September 22,. The Ministry of Education was linked to the Golden 5k Athletic Race organized by the El Dorado Educational Institution and led a seeding day.
The first Golden 5k Athletic Race, organized by the Educational Institution, started around 7:30 am, on the bridge that divides the El Dorado and Vallejo neighborhoods, and ended at the institution’s headquarters.
Right there, a sowing and cleaning day was held, led by students and teachers, in conjunction with the Mayor’s Office.
For Lina Cordero, Secretary of Education of Montería, it is very important to carry out this type of activities to contribute to the environment and reduce gas pollution. “In addition, it motivates people to do healthy activities, such as jogging, running and cycling,” she said.
Furthermore, regarding the planting, he expressed: “By planting trees, we help preserve our environment and provide more oxygen; let’s take care of our nature, let’s take care of our territory; “Join this type of activities for a healthier environment.”
A good example
Alejandro Urdaneta, a participant in the race, said that it was “a pretty fun experience, we got out of the daily routine and did physical activity” and added that, in this way, students from other institutions are motivated to join and see the importance of sport in health.
“I think these activities are excellent, since we can integrate with the students, with the teachers and also look at how we should lead a healthy lifestyle,” said Cilia Herrera, a participant in the race.
Fruit trees were planted in the field. This activity, for Jorge Cantero Ruiz, is important since “we help the environment; For this reason, we invite people to plant trees, since they provide us with shade and give us oxygen, what we need to live.”
