“Ministry of Education Launches National Tutoring Plan to Recruit 20,000 Volunteers to Support Children’s Reading Learning”

The initiative of which the Ministry of Education is a part seeks to add 20,000 volunteers to support children’s learning to read, within the framework of the Educational Reactivation Plan.

He President of the Republic, Gabriel Boric, led the launch of the 2023 National Tutoring Plan with which the Ministry of Education seeks to convene 20 thousand volunteers that support their learning to read boys and girls from second to fourth grade.

The tutoring plan, which is part of the Educational Reactivation Plan carried out by the Ministry of Education, seeks to benefit thousands of boys and girls throughout the country, way of reinforcing the usual classes carried out by teachers in Chile.

At the launch of the plan, President Boric highlighted “the unity” that this type of initiative can generate and the importance of reaching agreements to ensure that children have opportunities in the future.

“How terrible that due to the deficiency of adults, that we are not able to agree to push something, children are missing out on opportunities (…) How much we need unity to carry out the things that are worthwhile ”, expressed the head of state from La Moneda.

Those who want to be part of the National Tutoring Plan must comply four basic requirements and enroll in the Ministry website.

Requirements to support the National Tutoring Plan:

  • Be over 18 years old
  • have completed schooling
  • Not having a background with special purposes
  • Be authorized to work with minors
