His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Abdullah Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Education, confirmed that the Ministry grants exceptions by approving the calculation of all scientific subjects for students of higher education institutions, and transferring them from one university to another, according to specific conditions and controls, noting at the same time that the closure of the institution does not affect the validity of the certificates issued by them.
In his response to a parliamentary question during the Federal National Council session today (Wednesday), he said that the current legislation does not allow a student to transfer more than 50% of academic subjects, but in cases where the institution is under supervision, students are excluded, so that all subjects are counted.
He added: The student is not at fault if a decision is issued to close the educational institution, which was licensed before the student joined it, stressing at the same time the Ministry’s keenness that the student not be harmed by any procedures resulting from the closure of the educational institution, including the non-prejudice to the validity of the certificate issued by closed institutions.
