The Ministry of Education participated in the regional conference for the production of knowledge in the field of integrating reproductive health concepts in school curricula, held in the city of Amman in the State of Jordan, by invitation of the Supreme Council of the People of Jordan and “Share Net” Jordan.

The conference, which was held under the auspices of Dr. Mohieddin Tawk, President of the Jordanian National Curriculum Center, and Professor Dr. Issa Al-Masarweh, President of the Jordanian People’s Council, saw a wide participation of experts from Morocco, Tunisia, Lebanon, Jordan, and Egypt.

Dr. Akram Hassan, Head of the Central Administration for Curriculum Development, reviewed Egypt’s experience in reforming and improving education, which began in 2018 with the full support of the political leadership, consider that an effective education system is the way to build humanity.

Hassan said the levels of development will continue in the coming years to include the middle level from the next academic year, followed by the secondary level after the primary level has been developed in all levels.

Hassan explained that the stages of curriculum development began with formulating the general framework and identifying issues of major concern at national, regional and international levels, as well as life skills and supporting values ​​because the great and influential place in the preparation of the individual. for the life and improvement of the quality of life of Egyptian citizens and society.

Hassan touched on the drafting of specific documents for the various academic disciplines and the methodological approaches to include issues in general, and the issue of public health and issues arising from it, such as the issue of reproductive health and health protection and healing.

He reviewed the specific experience of Egypt in the region in developing a general framework for the issue of population and reproductive health, and making guides to train teachers and educate students and parents through difficult life situations, in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund (Egypt Office), noting the importance of the document environment, population and health activities as a tool For extracurricular and supportive activities to address the issues included in the textbook, and the importance of the diversity of educational and awareness materials and the diversity of their sources to introduce awareness. of all sections of society.
