However, the Ministry of National Defense explained that “when returning from vacation, we will conduct a corona 19 diagnostic test and then take preventive quarantine and observation, and quarantine measures by letting us live in a space separate from the soldiers on the premises.” In principle, it is controlled, but according to the judgment of the on-site commander, it can only be carried out in a safe area.” He added, “Religious activities are limited to 20% of the seats, but only for the soldiers on the premises.” The easing of distancing and adjustment of the unit management guidelines accordingly covers all units nationwide. The Ministry of Defense has been controlling the vacation and outing of soldiers since November 27 last year in accordance with the Corona 19 epidemic.
The Ministry of National Defense added, “Even if the social distancing in the non-metropolitan area is re-adjusted to step 1.5 in the future, it plans to maintain the second level of distancing within the military.”
Prior to this, the government announced that it would lower the social distancing stage related to Corona 19 in the metropolitan area to stage 2 and 1.5 in the non-metropolitan area for two weeks from 15 to 28.
