Car with official plates Ministry of Defence (Ministry of Defense) was involved in an accident with a BMW sedan on Jalan TB Simatupang, Cilandak, South Jakarta. The Fortuner car with the Ministry of Defense plate turned out to be driven by the son of one of the Ministry of Defense employees.
This was revealed by the spokesperson for the Minister of Defense (Menhan) Prabowo Subianto, Dahnil Azhar Simanjuntak. According to Dahnil, the accident case has been resolved peacefully.
“Driven the child concerned and the process have reconciled and the parents are willing to bear all hospital costs and damage to the victim’s vehicle,” Dahnil said when contacted, Wednesday (12/4/2023).
Ministry of Defense Service Plate Withdrawn
Dahnil said the Ministry of Defense had also withdrawn the number plate because it violated existing regulations. This is in line with Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto’s order regarding the use of service plates.
“The internal party of the Ministry of Defense has ordered and withdrawn the service plates used, and submitted the legal process to the authorities. In accordance with the orders of the Minister of Defense, all service plates of the Ministry of Defense must be regulated so that they cannot be used by unauthorized parties,” he said.
Furthermore, he asked the public to be proactive in reporting if they found certain parties violating the rules in using the Ministry of Defense’s service plates.
“And we ask for the public’s help so they are not afraid to report if there are certain parties who do not have the right to use the Ministry of Defense plates, but do use them,” he added.

In a video circulating as seen detikcomWednesday (12/4/2023), two vehicles were seen between a sedan and Fortuner with service plates from the Ministry of Defense. Both vehicles appeared to be damaged and parked on the shoulder of the road. The broken concrete material for the road was also scattered.
Narrated the accident occurred after the two vehicles were involved in a chase. A moment later, an accident occurred at the location.
“Playing chase, sir, who is speeding pile. General tired times, play tag,” said the video recorder.
