Todor Tagarev cancel the sale of the properties in Sofia! While the whole country is covered by local elections, the MoD decided to sell 15 properties worth over BGN 25 million by the end of the pre-election campaign. This was called by GERB MP Hristo Gadjev.
He explained that three of the properties announced for sale are in Sofia (in the Vitosha, Serdika and Lyulin areas). They have a total starting price of BGN 11.5 million.
According to the General Development Plan of Sofia, construction with a total built-up area of about 150,000 sq.m. will be realized in them.
Worse, this sale actually violates the Denkov-Gabriel government’s agenda.
Item 9.2.25 of it reads: “Acquisition of housing for the military housing fund of the Ministry of Defense through contracts for the ceded right of construction in properties with no longer a need in garrisons with permanent deployment of military formations,” reminds Gadjev.
How does the MoD expect to fulfill this agenda item after selling off these properties?
That is why, together with our colleagues from GERB-SDS, PPDB and DPS, we call for the sale of these properties to be stopped immediately and to no longer allow the sale of properties in cities with the deployment of military formations.
Otherwise, we have prepared legislative solutions that we will introduce, the deputy from GERB points out.
Yesterday it also became clear that the Ministry of Defense provided the National Assembly with the emblematic property of the Lozenets residence for the department with the motive of “no longer necessary”.
The conceited minister Tagarev is not the first to clash with the rulers. A few days ago, he asked the parliament to accept a deal for machines, but Delyan Peevski and Boyko Borisov scolded him that he could not ask for anything from the National Assembly.
Earlier, Borisov indicated that he would immediately fire Tagarev because of the brazen behavior of one of his advisors at Pirogov.
In another scandalous case, Kiril Petkov, in his capacity as prime minister, announced that Tagarev would be the new minister of defense in place of Stefan Yanev. But later this proposal was withdrawn without giving reasons.
